Drama by students at Dundee University

This drama workshop featured three short plays written by students from the creative writing course at the University of Dundee:
“Skin Deep” by Nikki Robson, Fiona Fairlie and Keren Macpherson.

Tanya’s customers discover that beauty therapy can go much deeper than waxing and shampooing.
“Grounds” by Amy Cloonan, Skenda Singh, Jade Skinner and Tracey Smith.

The last business day of a coffee shop also marks a turning point in its customers’ relationships.
“The Charity Shop” by John Eagles, Neil Cairns and Jill Hinnrichs.

Some poignant and surprising human stories emerge from the world of pre-owned clothing and accessories.
A discussion with the writers followed after the play readings.

Eddie Small, creative writing programme leader, had this to say:

“It was great fun. I’ve had quite a few notes from students saying they loved it, and to thank Dundee Playwrights’ Workshop for the opportunity to showcase our work.”
